What can you expect from Rainbow Pest Experts?
One of our highly trained technicians will apply an EPA approved, professional grade product to the exterior of your home. Once dry (about 45 minutes) the product is safe to the touch. It will not stain or damage your siding, paint or foliage. Control generally lasts for up to 60 days, and comes with a 30 day warranty*.
We use a water based microencapsulated product designed to withstand a variety of weather elements such as wind, rain & cold. The “microencap” offers superior insect control over do-it-yourself and competitors who use a lower grade product. Our Fall Insect Service will also prevent other fall invaders including spiders, millipedes, centipedes, ants and Asian lady beetles from entering your home.
Are Boxelder Bugs harmful?
Boxelder bugs are not poisonous to humans or animals, but are a nuisance pest. They are attracted to warm areas on the exterior of buildings and inside homes. Without proper prevention and control, they will find their way into your home and will remain active all winter long.
They do stain curtains, upholstery, and the siding of homes when found in large numbers. For this reason, we recommend vacuuming up the pests as when crushed they cause staining.
Can I Get Rid of Boxelder Bugs Myself?
While there are do-it-yourself products on the market, for maximum protection a professional grade product and application is recommended. Not only are do-it-yourself products not as effective as our professional grade products, but they can be harmful to your family and pests if used and applied incorrectly. In addition to using a pesticide application, you will have to reduce as many access points for them as possible. As a preventative to boxelder bugs and many other pests, we recommend replacing torn screens and damaged door seals. Inspect your home and fill all cracks and holes around doors, windows, pipes, wires, etc.
Getting rid of boxelder bugs yourself can be time consuming and ineffective without the proper grade products. With our pressure trucks and highly trained technicians, we are able to provide a thorough level of protection. Not only do we apply the product at least 15 feet up the structure as they are flying insects, but we also offer a seal-up service, complete with professional grade products.
